1st shift Logistics Supervisor

Logistics Supervisor 1st Shift (8am-5am)

Location:

Montpelier, IN

• Direct supervisor of hourly employees for assigned departments.
• Review inventory for obsolescence, quality holds, etc., and recommend actions.
• Ensure product is shipped on time and coordinate expedites with customer service.
• Perform inventory cycle counts, MMOG’s and finished goods inventory.
• Procure materials needed for departments of responsibility.
• Ensure housekeeping and 6S initiatives are completed and met for department.
• Comply with and enforce all safety rules, regulations, and policies for employees.
• Complete accident investigation forms promptly, participate in investigations, and help find solutions for improved safety.
• Proactively lead continuous improvement projects, processes, and systems for the department.
• Communicate with management team any difficulties or issues arising from machine conditions, employee actions, or quality problems.
• Provide training as needed/required to employees.
• Be willing to work weekends as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, management or related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience, 3+ years, manufacturing experience preferred.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of basic manufacturing, quality and safety practices.
