Through harvest possibly working into a full time position.
Usually keep on part time help until January 31 if not taking that employee onto full time. Pay Rate – Starting at $17 an hour with an increase if brought onto full time. Shift – 1st shift until harvest and then shifts may vary. Harvest usually starts at the end of September and we would work on the harvest schedule until harvest is complete usually in November.
Outside Work Non Harvest:
Shoveling and brooming grain messes. Loading train cars and doing the necessary procedures that come with that task. Emptying grain silos and cleaning them in preparation for harvest grain space. Also routine outside housekeeping work.
Outside work Harvest:
Shoveling and brooming grain messes. Keeping all areas clean. Operating outdoor ground pile storage. Filling these piles with grain and making sure all runs smoothly.
