Position Summary
The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading and supporting production associates to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role oversees daily production activities, maintains workplace organization, enforces company standards and procedures, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong communication, problem‑solving, and team development skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, train, coach, and motivate production associates to achieve operational goals.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Monitor production performance and address issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness in accordance with company standards.
- Support quality control initiatives and ensure products meet customer requirements.
- Conduct employee coaching, performance feedback, and development activities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support operational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing solutions.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate operational updates to management.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team‑oriented work environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school certification or related training preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
- Previous experience as a Team Lead, Production Supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong task delegation, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work across departments.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Directly responsible for leading and coordinating production associates.
