Overview
Spherion is hiring Pharma Production Technicians in Indianapolis, IN (Park 100 area). The position works Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with pay ranging from $27 to $30 per hour. It is a mid‑level role in the aseptic filling group of the Manufacturing department, requiring experience and training to produce pharmaceuticals under GMP conditions.
Responsibilities- Become certified for entry into the GMP cleanroom to perform sanitization, stock/replenish supplies, equipment setup, and aseptic filling operations.
- Execute aseptic fill processes using batch records and SOPs.
- Verify the calibration of all related equipment and sanitization of supplies to support production.
- Progress in competency of manufacturing procedures, including aseptic and cleanroom areas, component preparation, filling, and capping.
- Operate fill-suit equipment and perform tasks with minimal supervisor direction.
- Provide training for new team members.
- Understand the manufacturing schedule and coordinate tasks to meet it.
- Provide floor leadership in the absence of a supervisor or PT3 technicians.
- Transport and/or dispose of hazardous chemicals.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Immediately notify the supervisor if affected by an infectious disease or open lesions, as these conditions prohibit entering manufacturing areas or handling products.
- B.S. degree in chemistry, biology, or life sciences (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of bulk formulation and experience with equipment cleaning, preparation, and assembly.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of experience using current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a regulated pharmaceutical/biotech/diagnostic manufacturing facility.
- Proficient in reading, comprehending, and discussing detailed GMP documentation (batch record instructions, SOPs, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and arithmetic skills for accurate calculations required in manufacturing instructions.
- Leadership experience in training/ directing others.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, identify problems, and propose solutions.
- Proficiency in isolator work.
- Physical capability to lift or move up to 25 pounds regularly and stand frequently.
1–4 years in a regulated manufacturing environment.
EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent.
