Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Department Machine Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Machine Department, overseeing manual, CNC, and grinding processes. The role leads a team to meet customer goals, plans production output, staffing, equipment, technology, quality, and training, and motivates the department to contribute to company demands. The position ensures scheduled work is executed safely and systematically so that qualified technicians can perform assigned tasks, monitoring completion and maintaining quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Minimum of five years’ experience as a supervisor or manager in a manufacturing environment or similar.
- Minimum of five years’ experience interpreting and following verbal and written instructions, including shop drawings and work scope, with basic shop math skills.
- High School graduate; advanced educational accreditation preferred.
- Solid foundation in computers and standard software programs.
- Ability to multi‑task while adhering to high attention to detail standards.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
- Overall knowledge of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
- Experience with measuring gauges such as calipers and micrometers.
- Experience reading and applying in‑depth work instructions and diagrams.
- Pre‑employment fitness and vision testing required.
- Follow general shop safety procedures; occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
- Stand and/or sit for portions of shift.
