Material Handler - 2nd Shift - Indycorr

Overview

Welch Packaging is seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Forklift Operator to join our team at the 4200 Industrial Blvd facility.

Shift: Monday – Friday 2:00PM – 10:00PM

Starting pay: $19 plus $2 shift differential

• Work safely – report all unsafe conditions and near misses immediately to your Supervisor.
• Report any property damage that occurred while you were on the lift, regardless of how insignificant it may seem.
• Maintain a clean work area – keep docks, aisle ways, and bander area clean and clear of trash as required.
• Operate and maintain forklift equipment as required.
• Perform forklift inspection daily at the beginning of your shift.
• Rework any bales or pallets of finished goods that have been spilled or are potentially unsafe.
• Work with other forklift drivers as a team and communicate accordingly.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience:
  
  Prior forklift experience required; must be able to pass basic forklift training.
• Ability to read and write English.

• Strong written and oral communication.
• Organization and attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Time management.

• Regularly required to stand, walk and communicate with team members.
• Frequently required to use hands, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to climb up and down into a forklift to operate safely.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 or 75 pounds as a team lift.
