Welding Production Specialist
Position DescriptionThe Welding Production Specialist is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding structural components for mobile medical coaches. This role focuses on building frames, supports, and metal structures that serve as the foundation for interior and exterior systems.
This position plays a key role in ensuring all welded components meet structural integrity standards, safety requirements, and company quality expectations. The specialist works in a fast‑paced production environment, collaborating with carpentry, electrical, and skin departments to support the overall build of mobile medical coaches.
EssentialJob Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on steel and aluminum components
- Fabricate and assemble frames, supports, and structural components for mobile medical trailers
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Measure, cut, and prepare metal materials for welding and assembly
- Ensure all welds meet quality standards, structural requirements, and appearance expectations
- Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as needed
- Inspect completed welds for strength, alignment, and defects
- Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintain and keep tools, machinery, and work area clean and organized
- Work in a safe manner following all safety policies while performing job duties
- Provide regular guidance to and support training of less experienced production operators
- Partner with production leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and champion positive changes within the production process
- Identify and communicate production issues, material shortages, or design discrepancies
- Follow all OSHA, safety, and company‑specific manufacturing guidelines
- Frequently bends, stoops, twists, turns, and works in various positions using full body mobility
- Maintain a phenomenal attendance record
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Knowledge and Skills- Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Experience with metal fabrication tools (cutting torches, grinders, saws, etc.)
- Knowledge of steel and aluminum welding practices
- Ability to work within tight tolerances required for mobile medical builds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Understanding of welding safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Welding or metal fabrication experience with a minimum of 2–3 years required
- Experience in trailer, RV, or structural fabrication preferred
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Welding certification or trade school training a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to work inside confined spaces within trailers
- Comfortable working with welding equipment, heat, sparks, and fabrication tools
This is a full‑time position. Employees are expected to work a general schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Employees may be required to work beyond the standard schedule to meet the deliverables and expectations of the role.
