CNC Cell Operator DNP

Position Overview

Run quality parts in CNC cell centers, operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously.

• Operate several CNC machines simultaneously in a cell environment.
• Change inserts, make offsets, gauge, and record readings.
• Ensure completion of job cards for all assigned work.
• Train new employees.
• Reduce scrap and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Move parts between conveyor belts, machines, and pallets.
• Operate a stud‑press machine, adding studs and races into hubs.
• Perform all assignments safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Follow all established company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by a supervisor or designee.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED). One to three months of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to safely and effectively operate machinery and material handling equipment during an orientation period. Ability to pass required post examinations. Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and seeks ways to promote quality.

Ability to add and subtract three‑digit numbers, multiply and divide. Use tape measures, feeler gages, and torque gages in standard and metric measurements with accuracy.

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Read and comprehend written work instructions; write effective correspondence; interpret work instructions and procedures; present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings; represent the company professionally to customers, suppliers, and associates.

Prior CNC machining experience preferred, including performing offsets and changeovers. Experience working in and around robot operations is preferred. Read and comprehend work instructions and simple documents. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, maintain safety, and achieve good attendance. Hand‑tool experience (hammer, Allen wrenches, press controls, bander, staple gun, carts) is a plus.

Frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; consistently bend, twist, and stretch. Frequently lift or move up to 75 pounds and perform repetitive work tasks. Available to work scheduled overtime and assist in emergency situations. Flexible to work various shift hours.
