About the job

As an integral member of the team, you will support the manufacture of pumps and valves for the hygienic fluid handling department. This on-site day shift role is based at our Indianapolis, IN facility (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., with overtime as needed).

Responsibilities
  • Receive daily work assignments from the Team Leader / Team Manager and execute production using Standard Operating Procedures and blueprints as a base.
  • Assemble subcomponents and finished products and/or perform material processing within a facility with a limited number of pieces requiring basic product and process knowledge.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using lifts.
  • Perform process setups and value-add activities following defined operating parameters and documentation to complete daily production demand within the assigned team.
  • Execute quality checks and inspections as needed.
  • Report deviations (Safety, Quality, Parts, Equipment, etc.) to Status Boards immediately and inform the Team Leader / Team Manager.
  • Observe all company policies and actively participate in Daily Status Board Meetings, explaining deviations and proposing solutions.
  • Review and suggest improvements for Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate waste (time, motion, transportation, inventories) and drive KAIZEN improvements.
  • Maintain 5S standards through daily and weekly routines to sustain a clean, organized workplace.
  • Seek cross-training opportunities across different manufacturing processes and ways to add value.
  • Cross-train to support any department or factory demand as needed.
  • Use downtime to learn new processes and implement improvements from status board activities.
  • Continuously build job knowledge through execution of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves, uniform as required).
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
What you know / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to use and care for basic production or assembly hand tools.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing orders.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Crane & forklift certifications – preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
