Overview

This position will be responsible for the testing and analysis of high reliability, radiation hardened, trusted microelectronic components used in various strategic systems throughout the DoW.
The incumbent will be responsible for analysis and testing of electronic components, test interface hardware, setting up test circuit schematics, using software to control automated test equipment (ATE), aiding engineers in test procedure development, and other duties as assigned.
- Test and analyze high reliability, radiation hardened, trusted microelectronic components used in DoW systems.
- Set up test circuits and test interface hardware; use software to control automated test equipment (ATE).
- Aid engineers in test procedure development and perform other duties as assigned.
- Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics or related field.
- Hands‑on experience with handling and testing small parts, such as microelectronics (good hand dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, fine motor control).
- Knowledge of basic electronics and common electronic assembly components (diodes, capacitors, resistors, transformers, integrated circuits, inductors, etc.).
- Understanding and utilization of laboratory safety practices, including chemical safety; comfortable working with Hazardous Materials/Chemicals.
- Ability to engage with a multidisciplinary team of technicians, scientists, and engineers.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail‑oriented work.
- Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and new techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude; familiarity with power tools (drill press, power hand drill, bandsaw, table saw, sanders/grinders).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- 2‑year or 4‑year degree in Electronics Technology or Electronics Engineering Technology.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in laboratory environments, including operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment.
- Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction and materials.
- Basic knowledge of techniques for failure or material analysis of microelectronics.
- Problem Solving/Troubleshooting: ability to determine how something works, why it doesn’t, or how to improve an existing task, fixture, method, etc.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $31.25-$45.67 hourly (salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
Compensation Details: $65,000 - $85,000 annually. The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
