Tapping Setup/Operator3rd Shift – 10:00PM-6:00AM
* Position will train on 1st shift - 6a-2p $22.60 plus 7% shift differential

What You’ll DoAs a Tapping Setup/ Operator you'll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN. You’ll get to:

Set up Tapping machines

Trouble shoot machinery and quality issues

Execute tapping department processes and procedures

Provide management with supporting documents and data as required

Notify supervisor to purchase tooling, taps, and machine repair parts as required

Schedule parts for tappers and operators according to production schedule

Understand tapping sequence

Load machines with parts as required

Operate PIVClean out oil and parts from inside machines

Keep tooling clean and in working order

Perform training for department as necessary

Ability to work overtime as needed

Able to work different shift to cover production needed

Understand inventory system and tool re ordering

High School Diploma or GED Effective written and oral communication skills

Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Follows appropriate housekeeping procedures according to company guidelines

Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Basic mathematical understanding and ability (add, subtract, divide units of measurement)
Practical application of proportion and geometric constructionOrganized
-ability to maintain orderly work stations and tool crib area
