Your Role

Manufacturing Process Operator – Utilities The Manufacturing Process Operator will be responsible for performing tasks and activities associated with the site's utility operations that support manufacturing. In this role, you will help ensure critical utility systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently to provide essential services that support production across the Clinton manufacturing site. You will demonstrate a high level of initiative, ownership, and attention to detail while working collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.

Departmental goals include maintaining safe, reliable utility operations while meeting quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assures that production operations are performed according to cGMP and assists in keeping the department inspection ready through self-inspection and daily housekeeping in accordance with cGMP.
  • Follow proper documentation and verification guidelines as they apply to all documents (e.g., batch production records, SOPs, equipment, and sample submission).
  • Suggets and implements departmental safety improvements while incorporating safety into daily activities and working in a team environment to identify improvements and address process and safety concerns.
  • The work of an operator is not always in a climate-controlled environment and may be subject to performing work outdoors during changing and challenging weather conditions.
  • Operate, monitor, inspect, and troubleshoot site utility systems and related equipment to support manufacturing operations.
  • Equipment may include, but is not limited to, gas boilers, air compressors, water treatment systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, pneumatic material transfer systems, forklifts, and other facility support equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with Maintenance and Engineering to identify and resolve equipment or process issues while ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • Education:

    HS Diploma / GED Required
  • Experience:

    At least 3 years of experience operating industrial, manufacturing, utility, or mechanical equipment in a production or plant environment.
  • Ability to safely operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and document equipment performance while following standard operating procedures and cGMP requirements.
  • Basic computer proficiency, strong documentation skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other site functions.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respiratory protection (e.g., Bullard Hood, Dust Mask, and PAPR).
  • Ability to routinely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Experience working in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating or monitoring industrial utility, mechanical, or process equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with utility systems such as boilers, compressed air systems, water treatment, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, or similar industrial equipment.
