At JW Hicks, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add an Experienced Machine Operator to 2nd Shift. We have a passion to produce the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Requirements

Experienced Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate mixers and add minor ingredients to batch raw materials to prepare for pressing
• Operate presses to form mixed materials into refractory shapes, adjusting to achieve proper shape, dimension and density
• Perform press die changes and load press programs
• Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability
• Document production manually and through computer entry
• Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition
• Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor

Experienced Machine Operator Minimum Requirements

• 2-5 years' experience operating machinery and equipment
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment

Experienced Machine Operator Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics in manufacturing
• Familiarity with forklift and overhead crane operations and rigging
• Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings
