2nd Shift Buffer Operator

Hours:

3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Position Summary In this role, you will support the production process by ensuring products move efficiently between workstations, maintaining a steady workflow, and assisting with material handling, quality checks, and general production duties. This position plays a vital role in keeping production running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities Supply production lines with the materials and packaging needed to maintain continuous operation. Remove finished products from production lines and transport them to designated staging areas. Monitor product flow to prevent production delays or bottlenecks. Inspect products and packaging for quality and report any defects or concerns. Stack, label, wrap, and prepare finished goods for storage or shipment.

Operate pallet jacks or other material-handling equipment safely (training provided if applicable). Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and sanitation standards. Follow all company policies, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and safety procedures. Communicate with production team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow. Assist with additional production or warehouse duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to learn and perform a variety of production tasks. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the workday.

Comfortable working in varying temperatures common in a food manufacturing facility. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work Environment Food manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment. Fast-paced production environment requiring adherence to strict food safety and sanitation standards. Team-oriented atmosphere with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
