American Plastic Molding (APM) is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Production Operators to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will safely operate injection molding equipment, inspect products for quality, assemble components, and help ensure customer requirements are met. Key Responsibilities- Safely operate injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Read and follow work orders and work instructions.
- Verify product labels and production specifications.
- Remove molded parts, trim excess material, and prepare products according to established procedures.
- Perform assembly tasks and secondary operations as required.
- Inspect, measure, and evaluate products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct gauging and quality checks and accurately document inspection results when required.
- Troubleshoot and report production or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Ensure materials are available for production and assist with recycling and grinding processes.
- Package finished products according to work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, technicians, quality personnel, shipping, and materials handling teams to achieve production goals.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions.
- Participate in corrective and preventative action initiatives to support continuous improvement.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Prior manufacturing or injection molding experience is helpful but not required.
The employee must be able to:
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the shift.
- Use hands and fingers to handle products and equipment.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain close attention to detail and perform visual quality inspections.

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and may involve:
- Exposure to moving machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Exposure to airborne particles and occasional hot materials.
- Varying temperatures throughout the facility.
- Moderate noise levels.
