Position Overview
A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its team in LaOtto, IN. This is an opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment to produce complex, tight-tolerance components. Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications
- Select, install, and adjust tooling and work holding fixtures
- Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for quality and efficiency
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe, organized work area
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines
- Strong blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation skills
- Working knowledge of G-code and Mastercam
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred:
- Technical degree or certification in CNC Machining or a related field
- Experience operating Mazak lathes
