Shifts:

7am-3:30pm3pm-11:30pm11pm-7:30amPay Rate: $17.50/hr

Summary:

The key person in the operation and maintenance of a specific production process. They oversee the total operation of a specific product line is operated in a safe and quality conscious manner. Our goal is to build a good product with an emphasis on quality, safety and regulatory compliance and legality.

• Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Understands the operation of production machinery; assists with set-up and assembly; assists with production tasks as required
  
  Practices safety procedures
• Assists in the training employees in production procedures, safety guidelines and practices, quality control measures, and company policies and procedures
• Identifies potential problems in meeting deadlines and communicates issues to the Production Lead as required.
• Communicates maintenance concerns and follows company preventative maintenance schedule.
• Continuously investigates opportunities to increase efficiencies and reduce costs
• Participates in additional training as part of job development as necessary
• Inventory Management.
• Quality Control
• Member of the plant Safety Committee.
• Food Safety Responsibilities
• Ensure that all ingredients appear to be free from contamination
• Ensure that the scales used have been calibrated each morning
• Ensure the proper specifications are met with each product
• Verify that all records and all documents are complete

• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six-months to one year in a supervisory role in a production environment. Have a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Language Ability:
  Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees. Being bi-lingual in Spanish would be a plus.
• Math Ability:
  Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
• Reasoning Ability:
  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

  Skills:
  
  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook and accounting software. The understanding of automated packing machines and its software.
