Job Title:

Cleanroom Production Operator

The Cleanroom Production Operator plays a key role in supporting the manufacturing of medical products in a regulated, cleanroom environment. Working on 2nd shift, this position sets up and operates automated and semi-automated production equipment, follows detailed work instructions, and performs quality inspections to ensure products meet strict standards. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team in a climate-controlled medical device production facility.

Responsibilities
  • Support manufacturing operations for medical products in a cleanroom environment.

  • Set up and operate a variety of automatic and semi-automatic machines used in the production of medical products.

  • Follow process sheets, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and written or verbal instructions to perform production tasks accurately.

  • Check and inspect operations and finished products against predetermined tolerances and quality standards.

  • Perform general production tasks including assembly, machine operation, and quality inspection in accordance with work instructions.

  • Provide support to assigned areas, individuals, or programs and interface professionally with internal customers.

  • Carry out semi-routine duties of a specialized nature within the assigned production area.

  • Handle more complex and difficult tasks as assigned, demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with GMP and regulated environment requirements.

  • Continuously support and improve the quality system by adhering to quality assurance processes and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

  • Multitask effectively across production, machine operating, and quality assurance activities while meeting production schedules.

  • Follow all cleanroom protocols, safety guidelines, and work instructions to ensure a safe and compliant operation.

  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues, optimize production performance, and maintain a smooth workflow.

Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in production, machine operation, or a similar manufacturing role.

  • Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.

  • Excellent communication abilities for interacting with team members and internal customers.

  • Strong attention to detail to follow work instructions and meet quality and tolerance requirements.

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in industry tools, software, and documentation practices used in manufacturing settings.

  • Mechanical aptitude for operating and adjusting production machinery.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time during the shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed for production tasks.

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.

  • Experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments and familiarity with regulated industry standards.

  • Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality assurance procedures consistently.

  • Previous work in cleanroom environments, particularly within the medical device industry.

  • Familiarity with documentation requirements and controlled procedures in regulated environments.

  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and adhering to production schedules.
