Job Title
This position reports to the Team Leader-Stamping, Team Supervisor-Stamping, and Shift Manager-Stamping and is responsible for inspecting parts for 1st & last piece layouts, tryouts, and required frequencies per the Process Quality Control Table (PQCT, a.k.a. check sheets), in a timely manner.
Minimum Level Of Education / Training Required/Certificates/LicensesThis position requires a General Educational Diploma (GED) or High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
Minimum Experience RequiredMust be able to read micrometers, calipers, and indicators. Blueprint reading and knowledge of computers and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities- Performs 1st and last piece layouts in a timely manner.
- Has the ability to accurately read PQCT part prints.
- Accurately understands gage calibration and knows when a gage is in need of calibration or repair.
- Actively assists in team hold areas when needed.
- Precisely audits multi-out parts and verifies correct label.
- Properly releases sorted parts from hold.
- Accurately assists in training of operators on quality checks.
- Ensures green tag is completed in a timely manner and at press site at the start of run.
- Accurately monitors quality checks during production.
- Communicates all pertinent employee quality performance information to team leader and above in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all the red job folders and gages are at the proper press sites for each job.

Environmental:
Employee is responsible for complying and supporting any environmental policies and programs put in place by Batesville Tool and Die, Inc. (BTD). Employee may not bring any environmentally hazardous substances or compounds into BTD and is always conscious of the impact on the environment. Support and adhere to Technical Specification (TS) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) activities and procedures.
