Safety Technician
Our client, an agricultural industry leader, is seeking a Safety Technician to join their team. As a Safety Technician, you will be part of the harvest operations supporting safety and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong observation skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:
Switz City, IN
Pay Range: $22.00 on 1st shift, $25.00 on 2nd shift
Shift: 1st shift, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM and 2nd shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (Will train on day shift for 2 weeks)
What's the Job?
- Conduct routine and detailed line audits across harvest operational areas
- Identify unsafe behaviors, hazards, and at-risk conditions
- Document findings and communicate observations to relevant personnel
- Actively intervene when unsafe acts or conditions are observed
- Support safety program initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds
- Good communication and people skills
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles
- Experience with computers and ability to read/write in English
