Job Description

2nd Shift Spindle/Machining Operator

Hours:

3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Pay Rate: $20.50 + $1.50 shift premium + $1.00 attendance bonus

Job Summary:

The Spindle Operator is responsible for setting up and operating multiple-spindle CNC machines to produce high-quality fastener components while maintaining production and quality standards.

  • Set up and operate multiple-spindle CNC machines.
  • Monitor machines during production to ensure they are operating properly.
  • Load and unload materials and finished parts.
  • Perform machine adjustments and make tooling changes as needed.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Read and follow work instructions, process standards, and control plans.
  • Identify quality issues and make appropriate adjustments to maintain product specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
  • Work independently while maintaining production goals and quality standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous CNC, machining, or manufacturing experience is helpful but may not be required. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and follow detailed instructions. Good attention to detail and ability to recognize quality issues. Basic understanding of measuring tools and inspection equipment. Reliable attendance and dependable work habits. Willingness to learn and train on different equipment or shifts if needed.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to repeatedly handle and move materials and finished parts. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to safely operate machinery and use required tools and equipment.
