Hurco is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and we are looking for a detail-oriented and career-focused Inventory Coordinator / Production Planner to join our team.
This position plays an important role in maintaining inventory levels, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring materials and resources are available to meet customer and operational requirements. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is interested in building a long-term career with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Position Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels to support on-time deliveries, stocking requirements, and customer demand.
- Develop and release production work orders based on MRP planned order requirements.
- Coordinate production planning activities to support efficient workflow and meet established production schedules.
- Monitor the progress of production jobs and identify potential delays or schedule variances.
- Communicate production schedule changes and provide timely updates to the appropriate teams.
- Work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Inventory, and other cross-functional teams to resolve material and production issues.
- Maintain accurate production and inventory information within the company's systems.
- 3+ years of experience in MRP, production planning, inventory control, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer skills, including experience creating and managing production orders and performing both manual and system-based inventory transactions.
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems; strong understanding of production planning processes preferred, Axapta/D365 a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
