Your Role at Baxter

This is where my hands make life‑sustaining products. As a Material Support Person, you will play a key role in keeping materials, parts, and finished products moving throughout the facility. You will support production by receiving shipments, stocking inventory, supplying workstations, preparing products for shipment, and operating material handling equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.

Team

You will be part of the Materials and Operations team, working closely with Production, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Warehouse personnel. This team works together to maintain inventory accuracy, support manufacturing schedules, and ensure customers receive high‑quality products on time. Team members regularly collaborate to solve problems, improve processes, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Receive incoming materials, parts, and products and place them in the correct storage locations.
  • Pick materials and products from inventory to support production and customer orders.
  • Package, crate, wrap, and prepare products for domestic and international shipment.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and other transportation vehicles.
  • Verify quantities and product information against shipping and receiving documents.
  • Build crates and use packaging materials, wrapping equipment, and steel banding to secure shipments.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Deliver materials, parts, tools, and supplies to production areas as needed.
  • Keep materials flowing to workstations to help prevent production delays.
  • Follow established processes when loading conveyor systems and preparing kits for production.
  • Follow written work instructions, procedures, and verbal directions.
  • Use inventory management systems and computer programs to locate, track, and transfer materials.
  • Review reports and documents to determine inventory needs and material movement requirements.
  • Complete shipping, receiving, inventory, and quality documentation accurately.
  • Report inventory changes and material location updates to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain production charts, logs, quality records, and other required paperwork.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and help resolve material shortages.
  • Assist with locating missing parts and expediting materials needed for production.
  • Update inventory records and transfer stock within company systems.
  • Report inventory concerns or record inaccuracies to supervision.
  • Secure materials, parts, and supplies according to company procedures.
  • Monitor storage areas and report unauthorized activity when necessary.
  • Perform minor cleaning, adjustments, and basic maintenance of materials and products when required.
  • Conduct routine equipment and vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
