Location: Central Indiana
Salary: Up to $200,000/year, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Relocation Assistance: May be available
Position OverviewA manufacturing company in Central Indiana is seeking an experienced Plant Manager / Factory Manager to lead overall plant operations.
This position requires a hands‑on leader with direct responsibility for production, staffing, safety, quality, delivery, cost control, and continuous improvement
.
- 5+ years of experience in plant, manufacturing, or operations management
- Proven experience with overall responsibility for manufacturing operations
- Strong people management and leadership experience
- Hands‑on experience with 5S, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Experience managing production schedules, staffing, and delivery priorities
- Experience with cost control and productivity improvement
- Experience developing or maintaining SOPs, work instructions, or operational procedures
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
- Oversee overall plant operations and day‑to‑day production activities
- Manage production staffing, scheduling, quality, safety, and delivery performance
- Lead, coach, and develop plant employees
- Drive 5S, continuous improvement, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and operational documentation
- Address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor operational performance, costs, and KPIs
- Support hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth plant operations
- Experience in metal manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or a related production environment
- Experience with equipment or maintenance management
- Experience managing quality issues and corrective actions
- Experience in a hands‑on manufacturing environment
