3rd Shift Winder Operator

Hours:

10:00PM-6:00AM (Must report 15 minutes prior and stay 15 minutes after shift for changeover)

Pay Rate: $19.33 per hour

Full-time Winder Operator performing rewind operations, machine setup and changeovers, quality inspection, material handling, production paperwork, and routine maintenance in North Manchester.

• Analyze work orders and determine production activities.
• Set up and operate re-winding equipment and thread material through the machine.
• Position and secure rolls using sleds and pushers.
• Adjust machine speeds, feeds, controls, cams, and stops.
• Inspect products for proper profile, appearance, defects, and conformance to specifications.
• Make machine adjustments when quality issues are identified.
• Complete production paperwork, including start/stop times, downtime, and raw-material information.
• Perform machine changeovers, startups, routine maintenance, cleanup, and waste removal.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in production meetings and continuous-improvement activities.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Ability to rotate among positions and perform tasks throughout the production cell.
• Crane training and certification is required.
• Ability to lift approximately 10 lbs. routinely and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Availability for overtime, including before/after shifts and weekends.
• The job is primarily standing/walking, with some bending and climbing.
• Required PPE includes safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses; hard hats are required during crane operations.
