Responsibility

The CNC Machinist responsibilities include operating and maintaining CNC machinery while producing precision parts. You should be able to collaborate with Tooling engineer and manufacturing staff. Should demonstrate superb attention to detail and be able to manage your time efficiently. CNC Machinist should be deadline-driven, meticulous, and consistently produce high-quality work.

  • Using CAD to analyze existing tooling designs and improve on them.
  • Read and understand blueprints for new tooling design as per project specifications.
  • Reading and understanding tolerances including GD&T is a must.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to machine operation, programming, or tooling to ensure efficient production processes.

Support (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility. Support the Corporate Governance Policy of Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive and the Objectives of:
Meeting challenges of changed legal and business environment. Enhancing the trust of ATA among customers, associates, and society. Implementing activities to improve ATA business operations using a strategy of Steady Compliance.

Tooling Manager, Tooling Asst. Manager

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, apprenticeship, or formal Tool & Die training preferred.
  • One to (1) to Three (3) years professional experience in Machining in the related field.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • The ability to complete projects on time and to specification.
  • Ability to focus on precision and accuracy in all aspects of machining and inspection.
  • Strong skills in mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry, to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or tooling environment
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures

  • Willingness to assist other Tooling associates as directed by Manager.
  • Model and mentor proper process procedures and die or tool problem solving.
Service
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with die or tool repair if required by leadership.
  • Complete all work orders and other documentation on time as required.
  • Support ISO-9001 requirements.
Operations
  • Ensure CNC equipment and processes operate safely, efficiently and consistently.
  • Actively maintain 5s organization throughout the tool shop
  • Other duties assigned by Tooling Management.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and work in various positions for long periods (8–12 hours)
  • Ability to lift and move tooling components and materials as required, 25–50 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, presses, machining equipment, and industrial environments.
  • Constant exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial conditions
  • PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots)
