Role
Utilities Lead Operator at Lilly, responsible for frontline leadership of utility systems at the Medicine Foundry site, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
The role emphasizes leadership in a regulated environment supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing, with exposure to hazardous materials and the need for PPE.
Collaboration involves site leadership and engineering teams; position reports directly to site operations.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include acting as supervisor in absences, managing shift priorities, troubleshooting equipment issues, reviewing SOPs, and maintaining GMP and EH&S standards.
Qualifications- High school diploma
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in utilities or industrial operations
- Prior supervisory experience in cGMP pharma preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Respond to call-ins.
- Technical/vocational degree in mechanical/utilities systems
- Proficiency in DCS platforms (e.g., DeltaV)
- Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, EPA regulations
- Experience with capital projects and process improvements.
- Utilities systems expertise (water, steam, gases, waste management)
- 12-hour night shift in Lebanon, IN, with minimal travel (
