Join our Indianapolis, IN team as a Precision CNC Milling Machinist and turn complex prints into flawless parts. You’ll be part of a collaborative shop where quality, safety, and continuous improvement guide every decision.

A day in the life
  • Start of shift:
    Review work orders and blueprints, plan your setup strategy, and verify materials and tooling.
  • Setup:
    Mount fixtures and vises, load tools, set work and tool offsets, and confirm program readiness for CNC milling operations.
  • Run and refine:
    Operate the mill, monitor performance, and make on-the-fly adjustments to maintain optimal feeds, speeds, and surface finish.
  • Quality checks:
    Inspect in-process and finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy to spec.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot:
    Perform routine preventive maintenance and diagnose basic machine issues to minimize downtime.
  • Partner up:
    Collaborate with teammates to streamline workflows, share best practices, and elevate shop efficiency.
  • Keep it clean & safe:
    Maintain an organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Stay versatile:
    During CNC downtime, assist with sheet metal work to keep production moving.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a machining certificate or technical degree is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience operating CNC mills in a production or job-shop setting.
  • Solid grasp of CNC machining methods and programming fundamentals.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working both independently and with a team.
