Maintenance Technician II - 2nd Shift Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our manufacturing team on the 2nd Shift . This role is responsible for ensuring plant production systems remain operational through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and coordination with maintenance personnel and external vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  Between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM
• Pay Rate: $33.42/hour

• Required training for approximately 4-8 weeks

• Maintain and troubleshoot plant production equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Identify equipment failures and coordinate repairs with maintenance staff or external vendors.
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.
• Assist with and perform preventive maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Plan maintenance projects, estimate material requirements, and assess repair costs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory documentation.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with maintenance and production teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability programs.
• Work flexible schedules and alternative shifts as business needs require.

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or related technical environment or a technical degree.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with:
• Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Pneumatic systems
• Hydraulic systems
• Servo motors
• Refrigeration systems (NH3/Ammonia)
• Boiler systems
• HVAC systems
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience using maintenance tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
• Ability to prioritize work independently and as part of a team.

• Food manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of sanitary equipment design and maintenance.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with 5S principles and continuous improvement practices.

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, pinching, and tool operation.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, kneel, and work in various positions while performing maintenance tasks.
• Capability to safely work around industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery.
