Description
At MKR, Account Executives play an essential role in ensuring overall client satisfaction, quality of service, and on-time, on-or-under-budget completion of agency services. This position serves as the day-to-day leader of the agency team, ensuring that client needs are met and expectations are exceeded. They are responsible for active progress on client work, moving initiatives through the agency with the right team members at the right time, and always keeping the client's business and marketing objectives in mind.
Requirements- Serves as point of contact for clients, ensuring timely (within 12 hours) responses to all phone calls and emails.
- Serves as internal go-to expert on all client work for assigned accounts.
- Responsible for day-to-day management of assigned accounts and subsequent projects, identifying problems before they occur, and determining potential solutions to propose to the leadership team.
- Oversee work on account projects and initiatives with the primary goal of ensuring the agency is providing optimal quality work.
- Ensure status reports are accurate and up to date.
- Own the client knowledge base, responsible for regular updates as things come up (QC, client preferences, etc.).
- Track and coordinate client celebration opportunities.
- Responsible for communicating meeting logistics between internal and external teams (client and otherwise) and attending on-site client meetings.
- Responsible for drafting meeting agendas, leading client meetings (as appropriate), capturing notes, drafting meeting summaries and reports, and overseeing implementation of next steps.
- Distributes information internally and externally in a timely manner, tracking historical documentation and overseeing progress.
- Able to communicate information, however complex, in a way that teams and clients understand.
- Review and boil down client feedback, ensuring all necessary details are provided; demonstrate critical thinking by asking questions before proceeding.
- Write thorough briefs, through collaboration with the strategy team as necessary.
- Intake project requests and review deliverables to ensure alignment with client's business objectives.
- Responsible for ensuring MKR, client, edits, and quality standards are met before sharing and thoughtfully positioning deliverables with the client.
- Strives to exceed the standard/status quo, delivering exceptional work, holding self and team to a higher quality of work.
- Understand client industry and competitors and regularly share insights with the broader internal team.
- Excels at proactivity, demonstrating understanding of internal Subject Matter Expert needs to add value to work.
- Notices and asks when work may be outside scope and shares these instances with account leadership.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of client billing.
- Maintain billing, budget, and revenue trackers.
- Prepare accurate production, media, and other estimates for clients in a timely manner.
- Exhibit a thorough knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
- Initiates dedicating time for professional development and enhancement of industry skills; invests in leadership development opportunities.
- Demonstrate curiosity, excellence, and leadership.
- Encourage a positive, harmonious attitude among agency executives and staff.

- Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or relevant field of study
- 2-3 years of marketing experience
- Understanding of marketing principles and channels
- 2-3 years of account management experience at a marketing agency
