Conduit is building commerce for the open internet: portable stores, direct payments, interoperable markets, and merchant-owned customer relationships.

Most online merchants today are trapped inside closed platforms. They rent their distribution, lose control of their customer relationships, and pay fees to intermediaries that can change the rules whenever they want. We think commerce should work differently.

Conduit gives merchants protocol-native tools to run their store from one place and distribute it everywhere: their own website, compatible Nostr clients, third‑party marketplaces, and any other surface that speaks the protocol. Customers can discover products wherever they are, then check out directly with the merchant using Bitcoin‑native, non‑custodial payments.

We are not just building another marketplace. We are building open‑source infrastructure for merchant‑owned commerce: storefronts, checkout, payment flows, order handling, trust surfaces, relay configuration, and the connective tissue that makes commerce on open networks usable in the real world.

We are a small team shipping in public at the intersection of Bitcoin, Nostr, and independent commerce. If you want to help make sovereign commerce real for everyday merchants, we would love to meet you.

Conduit is hiring their first marketing leader: a founding seat at a company helping define what commerce looks like on Nostr. You'll co‑create the brand, run the community strategy, drive marketing for merchant onboarding, and serve as the human voice of Conduit across events, content, and conversations.

This is community‑led work. The right person leads with community and earns trust through presence, while also running influencer campaigns and cross‑platform spend as Conduit scales.

The role begins as a part‑time contract during Conduit's raise. In that phase, you'll work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the founders, helping merchants get live and tell their stories, amplifying real shipping into visible traction, and leading grant applications that bring in non‑dilutive capital and ecosystem visibility. As Conduit scales into full‑time, you grow into the marketing and community leader who builds and runs the function.

• Lead the marketing function: Build and lead a team; hire, manage, and direct contractors, agencies, and full‑time talent; own marketing budget allocation across channels as Conduit scales
• Use AI as a force multiplier: Actively leverage frontier AI models to automate repetitive work, accelerate research, push creative ideas further, and amplify Conduit's reach, without outsourcing taste, judgment, or ownership of the final product.
• Co‑create community strategy: Build presence on Nostr and adjacent platforms through events, content, partnerships, and the 1,000‑true‑fans groundwork
• Run influencer and creator campaigns: Identify, recruit, and manage Bitcoin and Nostr‑native voices to amplify Conduit; structure deals, measure outcomes, and build a repeatable creator program
• Drive merchant acquisition: Tell the story of who Conduit is for, why it matters, and how to start; help merchants find their way in
• Guide the merchant onboarding journey: Be a first touchpoint for prospective merchants and help them move from curious to live, shaping messaging, gathering feedback, improving first‑touch assets and welcome flows, and providing the hands‑on community presence that makes new merchants feel supported as they get set up.
• Turn merchant wins into traction: Spot the launches, updates, and milestones across the merchant community and turn them into public proof — tweets, threads, Nostr posts, founder talking points — building visible momentum that fuels the raise
• Own event presence: Show up at Bitcoin and Nostr conferences through speaking, sponsor ships, and on‑the‑ground relationship building; coordinate booths, signage, printed materials, swag, and stickers; manage logistics so every event lands with a clear, on‑brand presence
