Larkin Baptist Church has faithfully served Spencer County, Indiana for over a century. We are an independent Baptist church committed to the authority of Scripture, the proclamation of the gospel, and the spiritual growth of our congregation.
We are a close-knit church family with an average Sunday attendance of approximately 65 people. Our congregation includes families, children, and senior adults who value biblical preaching, genuine fellowship, and meaningful community outreach.

Title: Senior Pastor
Type: Part-time (10–15 hours per week)
Compensation: $32,000–$36,000 annually
This position is well-suited for a bi-vocational minister or retired pastor who desires to continue active ministry leadership.
Primary Responsibilities Preaching & Teaching- Lead Sunday morning worship services
- Preach biblically grounded sermons each Sunday
- Visit hospitals, nursing homes, and shut-in members
- Provide pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance
- Offer crisis care and support
- Engage in community visitation and outreach
- Work alongside church leadership and ministry teams
- Support Sunday School, Bible study, and youth efforts
- Encourage and equip families to grow spiritually at home
- Help foster unity and spiritual growth within the congregation
- Strong commitment to the authority of Scripture
- Demonstrates a shepherd’s heart and love for people
- Passion for strengthening families and discipling believers
Ability to lead a small church with humility and vision - Affirms the doctrinal convictions of an independent Baptist church
