Grow Ministry Impact as a Church Engagement Director (Part‑Time)

A Church Engagement Director (part‑time) plays a vital role in strengthening relationships between ministries and local congregations. This position is ideal for mission‑minded leaders who thrive in building partnerships, mobilizing volunteers, and inspiring churches to engage more deeply in Kingdom work.

Why This Role Matters

Churches today seek trusted partners who can help them expand their outreach, support global missions, and engage their congregations in hands‑on service. A dedicated Church Engagement Director helps bridge that gap by:

  • Strengthening church partnerships — cultivating long‑term relationships with pastors, ministry leaders, and congregations.
  • Coordinating volunteer engagement — helping churches mobilize teams for local and global ministry initiatives.
  • Supporting mission awareness — sharing stories, resources, and opportunities that inspire deeper involvement.
  • Expanding ministry visibility — representing the organization at events, services, and community gatherings.
This part‑time role is especially suited for individuals with strong communication skills, a heart for service, and a desire to help churches thrive in their mission. What Candidates Typically Bring

While each ministry may have unique expectations, successful Church Engagement Directors often demonstrate:

  • A passion for church ministry and community outreach
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities
  • Experience in church leadership, missions, or nonprofit engagement
  • Organizational skills for coordinating events and volunteer activities
  • A commitment to advancing Christ‑centered ministry work
