The Student Experience & Engagement department at Butler University is seeking an Ameri Corps VISTA Member to help strengthen our university's community engagement efforts and expand our capacity to measure and communicate impact.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community engagement, nonprofit partnerships, higher education, and creating systems that help people thrive. As a VISTA member, you won't provide direct service. Instead, you'll build the infrastructure, processes, and partnerships that enable students, faculty, staff, and community organizations to make a greater impact.
What You'll DoAs an Ameri Corps VISTA Member, you will:
- Help implement and expand Butler University's new community engagement platform, Give Pulse
- Develop systems and processes that improve student participation in community‑engaged learning and service opportunities
- Create training materials, guides, and resources for students, faculty, staff, and community partners
- Support onboarding and engagement efforts for nonprofit and community organizations
- Build dashboards, reporting tools, and assessment systems to better track and communicate community impact
- Conduct outreach and gather feedback from stakeholders to improve platform effectiveness
- Help establish sustainable practices that will continue beyond your year of service
We're seeking someone who is:

No specific major is required.
- Living allowance of approximately $24,962 (before taxes)
- Choice of a $7,395 Segal Education Award or $1,800 end‑of‑service stipend upon successful completion of service
- Professional development and national service experience
