Youth For Christ (YFC) is a faith‑based organization dedicated to engaging young people 11–19 across the United States and internationally to become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
Position SummaryThe Parent Life Lead will lead, coordinate, and grow the Parent Life ministry at Central Indiana Youth For Christ (CIYFC). The role requires spiritual and organizational leadership, team building, volunteer mobilization, and direct engagement with youth and families.
Responsibilities Program Oversight and Development- Oversee all Parent Life ministry sites, ensuring effective operation and growth.
- Design and lead comprehensive programming that addresses:
- Spiritual and moral literacy – faith‑based Bible teaching and character growth
- Educational success – tutoring, mentoring, academic support
- Financial literacy
- Civic engagement
- Basic health and safety
- Implement YFC’s Relational Ministry Actions (RMA) Framework to build authentic Christ‑sharing relationships.
- Lead weekly youth interaction using RMA methods, including:
- 1:1 appointments
- Building times – activities enjoyed by student groups
- Club meetings – high‑energy, large‑group gatherings
- Contacting – meeting new students
- Small groups – Bible study sessions
- Recruit, train, and empower volunteer teams to execute weekly RMAs.
- Execute the volunteer recruitment cycle:
Find, Win, Keep, and Lift volunteers. - Provide ongoing training, care, and leadership development to maintain volunteer engagement.
- Meet bi‑weekly with at least one current or potential volunteer.
- Ensure all volunteers complete annual training requirements.
- Foster a healthy, missional culture within the volunteer team.
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, churches, and partner organizations.
- Collaborate to enhance program offerings and resources for youths in the community.
- Maintain open communication and support for guardians and families of youth participants.
- Plan and prepare for ministry activities, meetings, and events.
- Attend weekly staff meetings, trip & event planning sessions, and scheduled supervisor meetings.
- Complete weekly ministry reporting.
- Participate in fundraising activities that support YFC USA’s stewardship functions.
- Extend invitations to fundraising events, recruit personal donor contacts, send letters and notes, and personally minister to donor contacts.
- Act as an associate minister/minister of the Gospel, preaching, teaching, praying, and mentoring staff, volunteers, and youth.
- Model and promote equity and inclusion in faith expression.
- Participate in regular prayer, devotion, and worship sessions.
- Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, with demonstrated spiritual maturity.
- Passion for working with youth 11–19 to become lifelong followers of Jesus.
- Authentic relationship builder, effective communicator, and mobilizer.
- At least 7 years of proven experience in volunteer mobilization and team leadership.
- Ability to work cross‑culturally and create inclusive ministry environments.
- Disciplined, persistent, and able to generate bold, strategic asks.
- Self‑starter who collaborates and shares learnings with teams.
- Embrace CIYFC’s vision, mission, and values.
- Strong moral character and reputation.

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 7+ years of direct ministry experience with youth and adults.
- Experience in social work and mental health within underserved communities is beneficial.
