Overview
Immanuel Southern Baptist Church of Rockville, IN is seeking a full-time senior pastor. The role leads members and attendees to a closer relationship with God and requires a deep commitment to faith, effective preaching, strong leadership, and a passion for guiding the congregation in spiritual growth. The pastor should conform to the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and adhere to The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the SBC.
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
Located outside Rockville in Parke County, known for agriculture and tourism.
Facilities and CongregationThe church currently gathers approximately 30–40 people in person on Sunday mornings, with online streaming as part of the Sunday morning service. Facilities include a sanctuary with seating for about 300, several classrooms for all ages including nursery, and a large fellowship hall with a kitchen.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership to the church and guide the congregation toward a closer and deeper relationship with God.
- Preach and teach the Word effectively to the congregation and guests.
- Exercise strong leadership and governance in alignment with the church’s mission and beliefs.
- Foster spiritual growth, pastoral care, and discipleship within the church community.
