Director of Administration

The Director of Administration must possess a servant’s heart, spiritual maturity, strong organizational leadership, and financial discretion while overseeing finances, systems and administration, Sunday experience, missions and outreach, and additional ministry responsibilities as needed in support of the mission of “Bringing People to Jesus.”

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and coordinate church business with banking, payroll, retirement accounts, and other institutions as needed.
• Lead the annual budgeting process with the Senior Pastor, ministry leaders, and elders, and monitor income and expenses throughout the year.
• Oversee church credit cards, expense documentation, reimbursements, Sunday offerings, counting and deposits, and online giving systems.
• Provide accurate financial reports and maintain appropriate internal controls, confidentiality, integrity, and accountability.

• Serve as the primary administrator for Planning Center Online (PCO), including People, Giving, Services, Registrations, and Check-Ins.
• Create and maintain PCO workflows for guest follow-up, next steps, volunteer onboarding, registrations, pastoral care, and other ministry processes.
• Train staff and leaders, maintain permissions and data integrity, and improve systems that strengthen communication, accountability, staff capability, and ministry effectiveness.
• Identify areas where processes can be improved and work collaboratively with staff to create systems that better serve guests, volunteers and ministries.

• Lead the Sunday experience from parking lot to parking lot through the eyes of a guest, identifying and removing barriers that may keep people from feeling welcomed, informed and connected.
• Oversee Sunday Experience Team, including parking, security, greeters, ushers, the Welcome Center, communion and offering.
• Recruit, schedule, train, encourage and care for Sunday Experience Team volunteers while identifying and developing leaders for each area.
• Establish and communicate clear expectations, procedures, and regular training for Sunday Experience Team volunteers, including scheduling, arrival and departure expectations, guest engagement, emergency response, and other areas necessary to create a consistent and welcoming environment.
• Work collaboratively with staff to identify and improve barriers within the overall guest experience while respecting the leadership and responsibility of individual ministry areas.

• Direct the local and global mission strategy of Cross Lane, including the oversight of mission trips, benevolence, and community-focused initiatives.
• Foster and sustain meaningful connections with mission organizations and partners, managing financial support, consistent communication, and future partnership growth.
• Organize special outreach projects and ministries designed to address the tangible needs of the congregation and the local community.
• Identify, recruit, and equip leaders and volunteers to engage in service through outreach endeavors and mission-related opportunities that impact lives.

• Participate in weekly staff meetings and quarterly elder meetings, providing clear communication and reporting for assigned areas.
• Work across staff and ministry areas to support church priorities and improve overall ministry effectiveness.
• Develop annual goals and measure progress for systems, Sunday experience, financial stewardship and missions and outreach with the Senior Pastor.
• Represent Cross Lane Community Church well and assist with additional ministry responsibilities as needs arise, including temporary coverage, emerging ministry needs, or other areas where the individual has the capacity and gifting to serve.
