Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience- 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
- Must have at least 24 months of Transplant Unit experience.
- Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required after submission).
- This role may require floating to additional units and locations
- Travel only, local not allowed.
- Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:
Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program:
Aya Program - IU Health. - 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program:

Additional Details Transplant ORReferences must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Required Skills/Experience- First timers accepted:
Yes, as long as they have 2 years of strong transplant experience - Transplant experience. Liver transplant hardstop
- General surgery procedures (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, inguinal/umbilical hernia repair, laparoscopic-assisted procedures, partial/total thyroidectomy), arteriovenous fistula repair, cell saver use, robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi; colorectal, GI, transplant robotics), urologic procedures (cystoscopy, nephrectomy), emergency management (fire safety, latex allergy), transplant surgery (intestinal, kidney, liver, pancreas, organ donation), scrub transplant surgery, pediatric transplant exposure, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time-out), regulatory charting for transplants.
Credentials
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Unit/Facility Details- Solely does Abdominal Transplants – Kidney, Pancreas, Liver, Intestinal/Multi-visceral. Pediatric Transplants done at Riley - not for the traveler

Yes - 40-60 hrs. per 6-week period. - Weekend Coverage:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities. Exceptions include:
Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS
5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
