The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing skilled professional nursing care to assigned terminally ill patients in their place of residence, as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the standards of the nursing.

Position Details

Mercy Hospice RN Community-Based Float Nurse - St Louis

St Louis Hospice RN - Evening/Night Shift - Mon-Thur - 40 hours a week - Shift: 4:30 PM - 8:00 AM

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice RN to join our team for an evening/night shift. This position runs from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM, providing critical support to our patients and team.

What to Expect

Primary Hours of Activity:
Most patient visits occur between 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM.

Overnight Coverage:
From 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, the workload is typically lighter and consists mainly of urgent needs.

Position Qualifications
  • A nursing degree from an accredited school.
  • Must be a licensed driver.
  • A current RN license in the state of Missouri.
  • BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Recent hospice or long term care experience preferred.
  • Experience with issues related to death/dying and bereavement preferred.
