Assistant Director of Nursing - Registered Nurse

Compensation: $87,984 - $97,760 / year

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises nursing staff, including performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary action.
  • Evaluates patient care quality and implements improvement initiatives, collaborating with Nurse Managers and Director of Nursing.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and organization policies and procedures.
  • Participates in policy and procedure development and hospital-wide employee orientations.
  • Provides professional nursing care as needed to respond to workload demands or staffing shortages.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • Three (3) years’ experience in psychiatric inpatient setting with an additional two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Two (2) years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working exclusively with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or multiple disabilities.
  • Regulatory agency knowledge including The Joint Commission, DHSS, Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services is preferred.

Licenses / Certifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
