Job Overview

Travel Nurse RN – Labor and Delivery.

Location:

Indianapolis, Indiana.

Start Date:

07/27/2026. Assignment Length: 13 weeks.

Hours:

36 hours per week (3x12 nights).

Employment Type:

Travel.

• Provide comprehensive L&D nursing care on a 12‑hour night shift.
• Perform labor and delivery assessments, fetal monitoring, and emergency interventions.
• Support high‑risk deliveries and assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Maintain patient and newborn assessments, including APGAR, neonatal resuscitation, and feeding support.
• Administer medications (pitocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, etc.) and manage IVs and infusion pumps.
• Collaborate with primary RN on the unit and may float to Methodist Hospital ED for OB‑specific care.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license.
• Minimum 1.5 years L&D experience (minimum 2–3 years preferred; high‑risk OB unit experience preferred).
• First‑timer acceptable only in specific conditions.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (fetal monitoring or C‑EFM); ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, AWHONN fetal monitoring or C‑EFM.
• Must have Travelers University accreditation (ACEN or CCNE) at time of graduation.
• Must possess licensure prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtained upon submission of permanent license application.
• Provide two supervisor references.
• Must be able to perform tasks listed under Skill Set (NST, EFM, IUPC, etc.).

The assignment is travel. Compensation includes base pay plus weekly meal and lodging per diems per national GSA rates. Additional contract bonus opportunities, referral bonus, and vacation incentives may apply.
