Overview
Indiana University Health seeks experienced nurses and recent RN graduates to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse – Resource, you will be part of the float pool, providing flexible coverage across inpatient settings, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, and driving quality care.

DescriptionThe Clinical Nurse Resource is a vital member of IU Health’s float pool. The role embodies our mission, vision, and values, providing competent, evidence‑based care from assessment to evaluation. Responsibilities include clinical decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting patient care plans. The role requires system‑wide flexibility and clinical versatility across medical‑surgical, progressive care, critical care, emergency, and specialty units.

Qualifications- Associate of Nursing (ASN) required;
Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. BSN required for new hires or promotions after October 1, 2025. - Active Registered Nurse license in Indiana or active NLC RN license.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program. Two years of experience preferred.
- Exception: candidates not from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have >2 years of acute care experience, subject to approval by CNO.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA required prior to orientation; additional Advanced Life Support as per unit.
- Highly adaptable, confident, skilled in managing change.
- Experience in multiple specialties or eagerness to broaden clinical scope.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
