Overview
Assistant to Registered Nurse in providing patient care, implementing the plan of care for a group of patients, and ensuring quality patient care while demonstrating appropriate behavior aligned with MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
Responsibilities- Contributes to nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data.
- Provides direct care in a safe manner.
- Evaluates the plan of care on a continuous basis.
- Communicates effectively in writing and orally with patients, families, and health team members.
- Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery in the assigned area.
Technical Degree or Diploma Nursing – LPN.
Work Experience RequirementsNo prior work experience.
Licenses and Certifications Requirements- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association
- Licensed Practical Nurse – Arkansas (Arkansas State Board of Nursing)
- Licensed Practical Nurse – Mississippi (Mississippi Board of Nursing)
- Licensed Practical Nurse – Tennessee (Tennessee Board of Nursing)
There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position.
Physical DemandsThe physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. Requires close visual acuity, including color, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact and exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials.
Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
