Job Responsibilities
  • Perform all functions under an active license or certification as it pertains to assigned duties
  • Know the residents you serve and provide care based on their service plans
  • Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement
  • Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change
  • Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia
  • Apply your skills, knowledge, and experience to strive for perfection and achieve excellence
  • Have “caring for others” indelibly etched upon your DNA
Qualifications
  • An active CNA or QMA certificate
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Over 18 years of age or emancipated
  • Willing to complete training or education required by law and Aperion Care policy
  • Flexible and adaptable while handling shifting priorities
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Written and verbal skills for effective communication
  • Organizational and time‑management skills
  • Good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • CPR and first aid certifications required within thirty days of hire
Physical Demands
  • Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk regularly; lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Must be able to perform duties throughout and within scheduled shifts
