American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for a Days position requiring Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience along with an active IN or compact RN license.

• Work in the CV Thoracic Transplant ICU of a hospital setting
• Care for both cardiac medical ICU patients and cardiac/thoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients
• 2:1 patient ratios including patients on advanced cardiac devices
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30
• 13-week assignment length

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both must be AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience required
• Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience required
• NxStage experience preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

• Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery patients
• Manage patients with advanced cardiac support devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and Nx Stage
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• Travelers are encouraged to discuss assignment extensions with their manager at least 45 days before the end date
• Only one submission permitted per candidate across the health system's positions
