DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit, requiring 2+ years of cellular therapy/oncology experience and specialized certifications.
Details- BMT unit within a hospital setting focused on Cellular Therapy
- Provides autologous transplant, allogeneic transplant, CAR‑T, and TILS treatments, as well as IV chemotherapy prior to cellular therapy
- Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
- Patient ratio of 1:3-4
- Holiday coverage required (2 major and minor holidays)
- May float to oncology or med/surg units within scope of experience
- No call requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active RN license (IN state or compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
- NIHSS certification required
- OCN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior stem cell, oncology, and critical care experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required for this unit
- Experience in teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, or Trauma Level I/II settings preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, central line/port care, chemotherapy administration, and biotherapy
- Experience managing oncologic emergencies such as ATLS, anaphylaxis, sepsis, and hemorrhage
- Experience with bone marrow transplant procedures, CAR‑T, and graft‑versus‑host disease management preferred
- Familiarity with symptom management and care of patients with various cancer diagnoses
- Deliver specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cellular therapy and chemotherapy treatments
- Coordinate care and provide patient/family education and psychosocial support
- Manage oncologic emergencies and recognise/communicate abnormal lab values
- Provide wound care, isolation precautions, and neutropenic precautions as needed
- First‑time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Returning travelers are welcome back without a waiting period
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from all CHN facilities to be considered non‑local
- Maximum RTO allowed is 10 days, must be submitted with original application
