Valcore Recover is seeking a compassionate and dependable Family Nurse Practitioner to provide onsite medical coverage at our Ladoga recovery facility. This position supports individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders, including patients with

co-occurring medical and psychiatric needs.

The provider must be available to work onsite on both Saturday and Sunday. We would prefer a provider interested in working some Thursday through Monday. The position may be structured as part time of full time, with flexible hours based on the provider's availability and the needs of the facility.

Schedule
  • Onsite availability required on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Preference for availability across some combination of Thursday through Monday

  • Flexible scheduling and hours
  • Some additional remote or on call responsibilities may be available by mutual agreement
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite medical assessment and treatment for patients receiving residential substance use disorder care
  • Complete admission evaluations, histories and physicals, follow-up visits, and discharge-related medical services
  • Evaluate and manage withdrawal symptoms, chronic medical conditions, acute illnesses, and other routine medical needs.
  • Provide evidence-based medication treatment for substance use disorders within the provider's training and scope of practice.
  • Identify medical or psychiatric concerns regarding a higher level of care and coordinate appropriate evaluation or transfer
  • Review laboratory results, medications, nursing concerns, and relevant clinical documentation
  • Work closely with nursing, counseling, psychiatric, administrative, and facility leadership
  • Participate in care coordination and treatment planning when needed
  • Complete documentation accurately and within established time frames
  • Follow established clinical protocols, order sets, documentation templates, and quality expectations
  • Provide respectful, nonjudgmental, trauma informed care to every patient
Required Qualifications
  • Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through a nationally recognized certifying organization
  • Current and unrestricted Indiana APRN and registered nursing licensure
  • Ability to prescribe medications and maintain all registrations required for the position
  • Ability to provide onsite coverage on both Saturday and Sunday
  • Experience evaluating and managing routine acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize when a patient requires emergency evaluation or a higher level of care
  • Reliable, responsive, and able to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals with substance use disorders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, residential treatment, withdrawal management, or correctional or community-based care
  • Experience providing medications for opioid and alcohol use disorders
  • Familiarity with co-occurring psychiatric conditions
  • Comfort working with medically and socially complex patient populations
Employment Structure
