RN Internal Agency | University Float Pool - SD​/MS

Overview

Temporary full‑time RN/Internal Agency assignment, 13 weeks, on stepdown and med/surg units at Methodist University Hospital. Pay $60.00 per hour.

• Provide practice excellence through specialized nursing assessment, care, evaluation, and education to patients and families.
• Promote evidence‑based practice by researching, implementing, and evaluating process standards such as care plans, protocols, and guidelines.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• 1–3 years acute‑care experience, including at least two years in an acute‑care hospital setting.

• Flexible and versatile in meeting changing staffing demands.
• Analytical skills to assess complex patient conditions and develop comprehensive plans of care.
• Ability to synthesize multiple sources of information to resolve complex problems.
• Proficiency in applying highly technical nursing principles and concepts.

• Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
• Registered Nurse – Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support – American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support – American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification – American Heart Association

• Climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, repetitive motion.
• Exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 25 lbs frequently.
• Good visual acuity required; frequent invasive/non‑invasive patient contact.
• Exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials; ability to react quickly to emergencies.

Available to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the agreed commitment level.
