Responsibilities- Perform duties outlined in the associate Veterinarian job description (80–90%).
- Attain specific production goals set in the hospital’s annual plan.
- Maintain veterinary excellence by attending annual CE and spearheading innovation within the veterinary team.
- Exemplify Medical Excellence, client service, education, and efficiency (10–20%).
- Foster a culture of medical excellence, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Engage veterinarians through performance discussions, coaching, and development plans.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager on scheduling to meet client needs.
- Assist in interviewing and hiring associate veterinarians and other staff as required.
- Represent the hospital at annual conferences and occasional networking events.
- Lead monthly hospital doctor meetings covering product strategy, lab practices, new procedures, and business growth.
- Educate and guide the veterinary team on SKU consolidation, product selection, and laboratory strategy.
- Promote teamwork, engagement, and a high eNPS through empowerment and culture building.
- Champion recruitment and mentorship, supervising internship, externship, and mentorship programs.
- Act as an ambassador for the hospital and MVA in community engagement, including schools and local events.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and DEA regulations for controlled substances.
- Support MVP initiative rollouts and uphold core values and the mission statement.
• Experienced Medical Director or Advanced Associate Veterinarian.
