About the Role
CBRE Full Spectrum Lab Services provides end to end scientific support for clients across life sciences, manufacturing, and other industries. We partner with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, healthcare, food and beverage producers, automotive and tooling innovators, and both contract research organizations (CROs) and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) to keep their operations running at peak performance.
As a CBRE LIS Sr. Coordinator, you will provide support services to facilitate the repair, maintenance, calibration, and certification of laboratory instrumentation.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate vendor maintenance activities on lab instrumentation
- Perform reoccurring lab inventories of lab assets across the site
- Conduct the review of certificates and test reports related to the Good Practice (GxP) pipette or similar instrument certificates.
- Work with staff about services required for installation, maintenance, moves, and relocations.
- Act as the first point of contact for all third-party contractors. Ensure that they have a valid EHS and GMP induction, a thorough risk assessment, and an official method statement and permit before work begins.
- Ensure customer requirements are met based on a review of GxP pipette or similar instrument certificates and test records provided by the third-party service providers.
- Document maintenance activities in CBRE CMMS and client CMMS.
- Escort laboratory vendors to and from the lab, including during lunch breaks.
- Ensure purchase orders are in place before the start of non-contract work.
- Assist in audit preparation and review documentation for inspection and audit purposes.
- Oversee training department personnel for the review of GxP pipette or similar certificates and test reports.
- Follow standardized procedures and practices and receive regular but moderate supervision and guidance.
- Verify that invoices are processed for payment to a third party for pipettes.
- Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval.
- Evaluate and select solutions from established options.
- Impact team through the quality of the services or information provided.
- Follow standardized procedures and practices and receive regular but moderate supervision and guidance.
- High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
- An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.
- Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.
- Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.
- General math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups or complicated information within the team.
